The 2015 edition of the Hornet Tennis team turned in the most dominant season in the history of the program. Led by a talented group of players, the Hornets navigated their first season in AAAA by posting 18 wins, finishing second in region 1-AAAA, and finishing just one win from the program's second trip to the Final Four.

From 1996 through midway through the 1999 season, the Hornets dominated the Region 1-AA East Sub-Region, winning 39 consecutive matches against teams in the sub-region. During this span the Hornets captured the Sub-Region Championship in 1996, 1997, and in 1998. The streak in ended on the final regular season match of the 1999 season when Thomasville defeated the Hornets 3-2. The Bulldogs would again beat the Hornets in the Sub-Region final ending the Hornets four year reign with a 40-2 sub-region record.

The Hornets only spent two years in Region 1-AAAA East Sub-Region, but in those two years they never dropped a match to a sub-region opponent. The Hornets completed two consecutive 10-0 seasons, extending their streak to 20 consecutive sub-region matches. Technically, this streak is still active should Cook ever be placed in another sub-region.

Both the 2015 and 2016 teams won their first 12 matches of the Region 1-AAAA schedule. In both years the Hornets were 12-0 in the region heading into the region finals. Also, in both seasons the Hornets fell to Bainbridge in the region finals.
