This working document sets out policy solutions and action for the national policy community for action while also inviting collaboration from other actor groups. It serves as a discussion document to spark dialogue and collaboration at the Stockholm Food Forum and beyond. The full Summary for Policymakers will be launched at the Committee for Food Security 53 on 24 October 2025.
The National Policymakers CfA is hosted by EAT, with its co-convening partners, the Alliance of Bioversity & CIAT, CGIAR, and the Scaling Up Nutrition Movement (SUN). It convened 84 individuals, including policymakers from over 30 countries, who participated in at least one dialogue and/or contributed written comments on the SPM. This SPM echoes their voices.
This Summary for Policymakers includes key messages drawn from the 2025 EAT-Lancet Commission with additional key messages contributed by policymakers. It further identifies 34 policy actions which have been demonstrated to have impact on facilitating transitions to healthy, sustainable, and just food systems, and provides specific country examples of how these policy actions are being applied.
