An online repository for the Action Dialogues 2025
Transformation of our food systems requires all actors across all geographies to mobilise. Achieving this depends on effective and inclusive Science-Policy-Action interfacing spaces that translate solution to action, are rooted in the realities of frontline implementers and practitioners, and give deep recognition of where current power and agency are placed.
In the lead up to the launch of the 2025 EAT-Lancet Commission and the return of the Stockholm Food Forum, EAT — working with Convene and in collaboration with global partners — has mobilised ten Communities for Action (CfAs). Each Community represents a distinct stakeholder group within the global food system and brings together frontline actors from around the world. The Communities are co-hosted by organisations with convening mandates and deep expertise in their fields.
Through a series of facilitated dialogues, the Communities for Action share practical solutions, draw on lived experience, and co-develop community-specific Action Briefs, to be launched alongside the 2025 EAT-Lancet Commission and discussed at the 2025 Stockholm Food Forum.
These Briefs capture each Community’s priorities in their own terms, while grounded in the evidence of the EAT-Lancet Commissions. They propose actions for their Community to adopt and scale, actions to stop, and asks to other Communities that address systemic barriers to change. In addition to the Briefs, each Community is also contributing Stories of Progress. These are real-world initiatives already advancing healthy, sustainable, and just food systems.
Together, the Communities for Action provide a platform to accelerate transformation and strengthen alignment across sectors, actors and scales.
