Healthy Brain

General outline. (7 hours. If taken as a standalone course, 8 hours)

  • How to stimulate my brain? Various activities to stimulate perspective, strategic problem-solving, memory, regulation, etc.

  • How do I keep my brain healthy? (importance of nutrition, sleep, oxytocin)

  • Brain injury (physical trauma, drugs, stroke and impact on brain and learning)

  • Attention deficit, distractibility, perception differences, processing differences

These are suggested resources for teaching about healthy brain. None of this is prescribed and you are encouraged to bring in as much local knowledge and resources as you can.
