Healthcare Sciences

Program of Study:  The Healthcare Therapeutic program of study introduces students to occupations and educational opportunities related to diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, or chronic illness independently or as part of a healthcare team. This program of study also includes an introduction to the opportunities associated with providing treatment and counsel to patients as well as rehabilitative programs that help build or restore daily living skills to persons with disabilities or developmental delays.

Quote from teacher: "The healthcare therapeutic pathway is for you if you are interested in the medical field such as pursuing the following careers: nurse, doctor, surgeon, therapist, dentist, physical therapist, etc. These courses will teach you all about the human body, psychology, nutrition, and learn through hands on lessons. You are also given the opportunity to become certified as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant to begin working as soon as you graduate high school and gain real world experience in clinicals your senior year.
