Floral Design - Plant Science

Program of Study:  Floral design allows you to express your creativity through beautiful arrangements and compositions. You can experiment with different flowers, colors, and styles to create unique and visually appealing designs. The Plant Science program of study focuses on the science, research, and business of plants and other living organisms. It teaches students how to apply biology and life science to real-world life processes of plants and vegetation, either in laboratories or in the field.

The act of arranging flowers can be a calming and enjoyable experience, providing a break from the stresses of daily life and core classes. Students create designs for real customers who request designs for award nights, banquets, birthday and retirement celebrations, weddings and cooperate events."

It's fun and it's not just about being creative but working with teams to create historical designs, event pieces and my favorite so far was making arrangements for three different weddings last year and the prom centerpieces. I'm getting an art credit and next year I'll take advanced plant and soil science as my fourth science credit."

Program Forms:
