This week we will focus on Upper Body Strength.
Upper body strength is important because the upper body controls your ability to perform everyday activities such as reaching, pulling, pushing, and lifting. Having a strong upper body helps improve your flexibility, mobility, and range of motion. It can also improve your performance in many different sports!
For the Columbia Fitness Test, upper body strength is measured through pull-ups. If you don’t have a pull-up bar at home, push-ups are another great exercise to help with building upper body strength.
