Group Projects

- It's your turn to create challenging XRP activities to do in small groups (2-3) or individually.
- We will base our projects on the exercises we have already completed in this class.
- Prompt for your project ideas:
  Empathy - Consider projects that are designed for someone you care about; a project that helps, entertains, educates, informs, amuses ...

Brainstorming project ideas

- Review "Rules of Brainstorming: A Manager's Guide to Producing Great Ideas"
- Discussion: What are some rules of brainstorming?
- Open the Padlet (link below), click the "+" button on the lower right, and add your project ideas. Fill in the template with the project name, your name and complete the prompts "I want to build a robot that ..." and "... because."

- Create at least 2 project ideas.
- After project ideas are entered and approve, we'll ask qualifying questions (not criticisms) about them.

Project selection

- Review the project ideas
- Click the ♡ on the projects you would consider working on in a team.
  (You can click as many as you want, but click at least 1.)
- Add comments to the projects
  - Clarifying questions
  - Additional ideas
- We'll pick the projects with the most ♡ clicks and divide into teams.

Project Description

- Open Robotics Project template (Google Drawing) and make a copy (File ... Make a Copy). (You'll need a gmail account to do this.)
  Or, use a paper copy.
  - Change the document title to the name of your project
  - Complete the template with your team (You can all edit at the same time.)
- Identify one or more experiments that need to be done to determine if the XRP can be used to implement the project
- Review your progress with everyone at the end of today's class

With your team, determine how to do the experiment(s) needed
If you conclude that something can't be implemented, re-think your project, update the project template

Project Design

Discuss what tasks/activities need to be done to implement your project;
Think about doing simple things - we only have a few hours to do all this!
Assigned tasks/activities with people on your team
Work on designing the task/activity
Ask for help if needed!

Project Build

Implement the tasks/activities you have identified for your project
Ask for help if needed!

Project Demonstrations

Demonstrate your project to the class.
