Collingwood Primary School
A message from Mrs Buckland-Garnett, Headteacher
On behalf of staff, governors and pupils, I extend a very warm welcome to our website.
At Collingwood we provide a nurturing experience that will well equip your child through those first important years of their education. Our staff are passionate about treating children as individuals, following their interests, and supporting them in building successful relationships and achieving their true potential. We believe that learning is for life and that this should be fun!
“The school’s provision for the welfare of pupils and the promotion of their well-being and safety is outstanding, "pupils feel extremely safe and happy at school.” “Pupils make at least good and sometimes outstanding progress” “very strong links with parents to promote children’s learning and well-being,” and that, “Leaders have created an environment where pupils flourish.” Ofsted April 2016.
In June 2021 Inspectors revisited and concluded that "Collingwood continues to be a good school" "Pupils enjoy attending this welcoming and caring school. They are enthusiastic about what they are learning and want to do their best." "Pupils are polite and kind" and "keen to help one another".
Our prospectus, the video on this page and the class pages on this website, will give you some idea of our happy, friendly school but nothing beats meeting our staff and pupils for yourself. Please contact Miss Massey or Mrs Bower in our school office on 01245 322258 to arrange a visit. I look forward to meeting you. Mrs A Buckland-Garnett
