Learning a language is about much more than knowing words, understanding structures, or memorizing expressions. It is about discovering new ways to communicate, making sense of the world around us, sharing ideas, and building connections with other people and cultures. Along this journey, play holds a special place.
In our English classes, games, songs, stories, challenges, and playful activities create opportunities for children to experience the language in meaningful ways. Through these experiences, children develop hypotheses, explore possibilities, make discoveries, and learn to use English in different contexts. Curiosity encourages investigation, imagination opens the door to new ideas, and interaction with peers broadens opportunities for learning.
Play is also about exploring different ways of thinking, creating, and expressing ourselves. It means learning to listen, negotiate, collaborate, face challenges, and recognize that there are many ways to participate and build knowledge. In this process, mistakes are not endpoints but part of discovery. Every attempt opens the door to new learning, and every exchange contributes to the collective construction of meaning.
With the theme “Play with Us!”, our Cultural Fair invites you to discover a little of this world of experiences. The projects on display reflect the different paths children have taken in their journey with the English language, showing how learning can happen through exploration, creativity, investigation, and meaningful connections with others.
