Application and Registration Steps

To decide what to take, work with your school counselor! Your counselor can help put together a plan that is a mixture of Dual Enrollment and AP courses to meet the college general education CalGETC requirement.

Enrollment begins on April 23, 2026

Steps to Dual Enrollment:

Create a CCCApply account and complete the application for Summer/Fall 2026.
- If you took a Dual course in Spring 2026, you can skip to step 3.
New students: Create a DualEnroll.com account and follow the steps.
- Parent/Guardian confirms in DualEnroll (once only).
- ERHS will review student's eligibility. Students who have multiple deficient grades in high school courses may be denied to take Dual courses at this time.
Students select courses in DualEnroll
- Summer: Up to 1 course, 5 units max
  1. Incoming 9th graders (c/o 2030) cannot take courses in the summer.
- Fall: Up to 2 courses, 8 units max
  1. Fall: Some students who've successfully completed Dual courses may overload by selecting more courses in Fall. A Norco College counselor will review and approve or deny.
  2. Incoming 9th graders (c/o 2030) can only take GUI-47 or GUI-48 in the fall.
- Course Type: Select Online or High School courses only (courses with red laptop or blue graduation cap icons).
  1. College Campus courses (green building icon) are not Dual Enrollment, but are Concurrent Enrollment. Concurrent Enrollment process is different than Dual Enrollment and is not for most students. See the FAQ for more information regarding Concurrent.

4. ERHS/Norco College approves students through DualEnroll.

- Student upload transcripts if needed for courses with prerequisites.

5. Students get registered into courses by Norco College.

- ERHS & Norco College will approve/deny enrollment. Review your account for your DualEnroll status with the definitions.
- Once it says "Complete" in DualEnroll, you've been enrolled in the course. You'll be notified of your registration into your course(s) via email/text.

6. CANVAS, MyPortal, and RCCD Email

- One week prior to the start of term, be sure to log in to CANVAS, MyPortal, and your RCCD email with the account instructions. If you've followed the steps and continue to have issues with accessing any of these, contact Norco College IT.

Dropping a Course

If you no longer want to take the course you initially selected, you are able to drop the course.

Log in to your DualEnroll account and click on "Status". To the right of the course you want to drop, click on the "Drop" button. Be sure to note the drop dates without a W and with a W.

Course Offerings

In DualEnroll, only select ONLINE or HIGH SCHOOL courses. COLLEGE CAMPUS courses are Concurrent Enrollment and are a different program than Dual Enrollment. For more information about Concurrent, see the FAQ.

Fall 2026: In Person Courses

We offer 3 courses in person. Students who select these courses will need to:

Filter "Course Type" to High School and select the best course option.
Meet with their School Counselor to have their high school schedule reflecting "College Course" in the designated period.
- Note that the high school master schedule is very tight and movement may not be available.
Only attend class during class meeting times. Students will be off campus (late start or early dismissal) when class is not in session.
- (e.g. GUI-47 students stay home on Wednesdays during the period they select as they do not have class meetings on that day).

MAT-C2210, formerly MAT-1A Calculus 1 (Period 6 ERHS): Tu 1:35-3:50pm / W 1:50-3:45pm / F1:50-3:45pm

PSYC-9 (Period 5 ERHS): M 1:35-3:15pm / Th 1:50-3:15pm

GUI-47 (Period 6 ERHS): Tu 1:35-3:15pm / F 1:50-3:15pm

Note that the course meeting schedules does not exactly line up with the high school bell schedule.

What is CalGETC?

The CalGETC is a general education pathway for California Community College students to fulfill lower-division college requirements.

You'll want to pick courses to fulfill CalGETC areas, but would not want to take more than needed.

Additionally, consider your current AP courses (passing the AP exam with 3 or higher) to determine the Dual Enrollment courses to take.

For example: if you are taking AP Psychology and pass the AP exam, you may want to take another discipline within Area 4 and not choose a PSYC course if you do not intend to be a Psychology major.
