CNU regularly offers a BIOL 422 for a summer study abroad group program. Applications are due in the Fall semester and a complimentary course is required in the spring semester before departure.
There are several Biology Majors at CNU. It is important to let the Study Abroad Office know which type of Biology you are studying. We have partner programs that offer BIOL 3XX credit, so this can apply to a major requirement for any 300 level Biology. In some cases, we have approval for a lab course and will mark that in the approvals. Be careful to know in advance if a lab will be counted towards your major requirements. At some schools overseas, the lab is included in the 3 credit class and will not be counted as a separate credit toward the CNU Degree.
We have recommendations for students studying environmental biology and for molecular biology. The office can help steer you to programs that will fit your academic interest within biology.

France - BUSN 418 (Business Core): Strategic Management in France
The Luter Business School regularly teaches a summer study abroad course. The applications are open at the beginning of fall semester and space fill quickly.
CNU requires business students to take any major courses for business from another AACSB accredited institution. These are specific universities, so students should work with the study abroad office to learn which partner programs will work for them. Pre-business classes can be taken from non-AACSB institutions.
Notes for Semester Programs: It is very important to note the sequencing of classes for each business major, so students remain on track to graduate within their major(s). For semester study abroad, here are some considerations.
Management Majors: By the end of Junior Year, you must have BUSN 300 and BUSN 304 complete. If you plan to study abroad in the spring semester, you should consider taking BUSN 300 and 304 in the fall semester before studying abroad. For the fall of Senior year, MGMT 400 and MGMT 410 are required, so students will have a limited number of programs worldwide that offer both courses in the fall term.
Marketing Majors: By the end of Junior Year, BUSN 311 and MKTG 310 are required. It can be very difficult to find MKTG 310 overseas, so we encourage students to see if they can enroll in MKTG 310 with CNU over the summer. It would be better to study abroad in the fall semester to take BUSN 311 overseas, so MKTG 310 can be taken at CNU in the spring semester upon return.
Finance Majors: By the end of Junior Year, BUSN 323 and FINC 324 are required. It can be very difficult to find MKTG 310 overseas, so we encourage students to see if they can enroll in MKTG 310 with CNU over the summer. It would be better to study abroad in the fall semester to take BUSN 323 overseas, so FINC 324 can be taken at CNU in the spring semester upon return.
Accounting Majors: It can be difficult to find ACCT 300 and 400 level course abroad, so our accounting majors will often work on the business core while abroad during their junior year.

Computer Science
Computer Science majors often study abroad for credits in area of inquiry, language requirement, or their minor. CNU has found a few locations offering computer science classes, but students should plan to take only one or two of these during a semester abroad. The teaching style abroad is less hands-on, so CNU students have found the computer science courses overseas to be quite challenging. It is possible for most computer science majors to work with their academic advisor to free up space in their schedule for a semester abroad without taking computer science or only taking one or two classes. In the summer, many students will work on credits outside their major, but the study abroad office has a few locations that offer Computer Science classes.
