Ski Trip

Saturday 10th - 18th  February 2024

Mr Miller and Ms Cunningham are the teachers organising this visit visits@cncs.co.uk

The date for this visit is Saturday 10th February, Return Date - Sunday 18th February 2024.

We are delighted that we have been able to secure the resort of Sansicario in Italy for 2024, staying at the Olympic Village (host to the 2006 Winter Olympics) and would like to invite your son/daughter to attend.

Our students will be the sole occupants in our chosen hotel during our stay. The Hotel is on the slopes and skiing will start and finish right outside the front door. All the rooms have private facilities and plenty of space for activities.

The ski area is one of the most comprehensive in Europe and we have a full area lift pass included which covers the whole region known as the Milky Way. This region offers skiing on 400 km of prepared slopes and includes the resorts of Claviere, Sansicario, Sauze d’oulx and Sestriere as well as the resort of Montgenevre across the border in France. It truly is a fantastic location for all skiers from beginners right through to the most advanced.

Due to the vast area, it offers all types of terrain from wooded valleys to high snow sure mountains. We will have the opportunity to ski the world cup competition runs used in both the Olympics and on the world ski circuit. Beginners will have some of the best progression in terms of terrain of anywhere in the world and will make fantastic progress.

The visit includes an evening entertainment program where the students will participate in a selection of the following activities: Bum Boarding; Ice Skating; Games and Quiz Night; Karaoke; visit to a local snow park for tubing and other snow based activities; Pizza Night and swimming.

The full cost of the trip is £1295.00 per student. This is always a very popular visit, we can accommodate 250 students, we recommend you book the place early as we are expecting to be oversubscribed again this year and we will hold a reserve list. We will send out a series of newsletters to keep you up to date with information.

Included in the cost are the following: return travel by coach and ferry; full board hotel accommodation including a hot lunch every day; six days of four hour ski lessons; optional additional ski time with school staff; hire of ski boots, skis, poles and helmet for the week; lift pass; full insurance cover including a snow guarantee; all evening entertainment. (As mentioned, a small charge may be made for the optional extras.)

Not included in the cost are the following: students’ spending money; ski clothing such as ski suits, gloves, hats etc; soft drinks at the resort. As a guide most students in the current Year 8 spent less than 10 Euros of their own money for the whole week.

Students do not need any previous experience to come on the trip and we also cater for skiers who are very experienced.

The payment is via ParentPay. The payment schedule is as follows and must be adhered to:
