The PreACT is a shortened practice ACT test that allows students to predict how they would do on the actual ACT test. Students can use the results to determine what areas they need to study more of before they take the ACT. The PSAT is a practice SAT test that allows students to predict how they would do on the actual SAT test. Students can use the results to determine what areas they need to study more of before they take the SAT. PSAT scores are also used to identify National Merit Scholars and award merit scholarships. Fee Waivers - In order to receive an ACT or SAT fee waiver, students must bring in a copy of the official letter stating that they receive free or reduced lunch. Contact Child Nutrition to get another copy of this letter. Please contact your counselor to obtain a fee waiver.
It is recommended that juniors take the SAT and/or ACT twice in the spring or summer of their junior year. It is preferred to have all testing completed by the October test date of their senior year.
