Can art be made without using art materials? Yes! Some artist use what are called found objects. In other words, they use items they find in their everyday life. Sculptor, Tony Cragg was born in Great Britain in 1949 and is still living today. In his early career, he became known for creating colorful collages from ordinary construction materials and household objects that would have been thrown away. The pieces are large in scale. Look carefully and see if there are any objects that you recognize.
Collect a variety of items around your house. Toys, legos, art materials, or any every day type object. Arrange the items in a recognizable shape- maybe a person, animal, word, or even a simple shape like a heart. You may want to draw the outline of the shape first and then add your objects. Be sure to take a photo of your finished work and clean up!

A color wheel is a tool that organizes the primary colors and secondary colors. Create a color wheel using found objects around your house. Don't forget to take a photograph and share it with me!
