First Grade Lesson for April 3

View this read aloud of Eric Carle's Mixed-Up Chameleon. As you view the illustrations start to think about how you could create your "mixed-up" animal.

In this video I will show you some ideas to help you get started on your own "mixed-up" animal and then you can use your imagination to draw the rest of the animal.

Now use your imagination to create your own "mixed-up" animal.

Here are some things you might include:



  • body

  • neck

  • head

  • legs

  • feet

  • tail

  • ears

  • wings

  • hat

When you are finished add different colors and animal patterns to help show each animal part !
