Personalized Learning in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools aims to develop the whole child. It empowers them to take ownership of their learning by providing them with multiple pathways to demonstrate mastery learning in order to be successful and productive 21st century citizens in an ever-changing world.
My philosophy as an educator is that each child in my classroom does not always learn the same way or at the same speed. It is my job to make sure I create a safe and nurturing learning environment where all the needs of my learners are being met. Personalizing instruction through small group lessons and creating strategic playlists for my students to complete independently, helps my students work toward mastery of the 3rd grade standards. Students will take ownership of their learning by creating realistic academic and social goals that they will reflect on and adjust as seen fit.
