Flexible Seating:
Our classroom is a flexible seating room! There are multiple "work spaces" located in our classroom that your child may choose to work in. It is important for you child to understand what kind of environment they produce their best work in. Whether it be working at their desk, sitting in a stool along the counter or working in a bean bag chair....it is their choice!
The first several weeks of school will be focused on going over the rules of each flexible seating station, the expectations for that station and getting your child to better understand who they are as learners. This will help them make appropriate choices when choosing a spot to work and help them be successful. Students will sign a flexible seating contract and can loose flexible seating privileges if they break the contract.
Ms. Youngman's Flexible Seating Rules:
1- Choose a working spot that allows you to complete your BEST 3rd grade work.
2- Use all seats and materials appropriately.
3-Take care of the community supplies and pick up after yourself.
4-If a spot isn't working for you, then move so you can be SUCCESSFUL!
5-Ms. Youngman has the right to move anyone at anytime.
