FOOD INFORMATION
Students will be provided one free breakfast and lunch at 40 grab-and-go meal sites across the district each weekday. The 40 grab-and-go meal sites will be open for pick-up from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. AS OF OCTOBER 23- NO BUS DROP OFF WILL BE AVAILABLE. Meals do not have to be pre-ordered. Parents can drive through and pick up meals for their student daily.
Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina: food assistance by county Dilworth Soup Kitchen: Mon and Fri from 11:00am-12:30pm at 1200 East Blvd. All welcome. Roof Above 11:15-12:15pm daily meal, 945 N.College St, 28206 (Basic services 8:30-1pm M-F)
The Bulb: Offering fresh food boxes to prioritized families with children. For assessment and guidelines call (980)224-3972 or email.
Calvary Church of the Nazarene, 4000 N Sharon Amity Rd 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. 2-4 pm. Cokesbury UMC, 6701 Idlewild Rd, 28212 Distributes fresh produce on Tue and Thur from 4-6pm. No reservations- first come first serve. Saturdays from 11am-1pm free hot dog drive thru meals.
Galilee Ministries of East Charlotte, 3601 Central Ave, Charlotte, NC 28205 Currently serving lunch on Wed and Thurs between 11:30am-12:30pm--freshly prepared, healthy foods, vegetarian options and kids meals are available. Galilee Ministries also hosts a Loaves & Fishes mobile pantry on Tuesdays from 2-3pm. Greater Bethel AME 5232 The Plaza, Charlotte, NC 28215 Care to Share Food Pantry Operates on the Campus of Greater Bethel the times are Mon-Tues 11am-2pm and Wed-Thu 130pm-3pm.
Meals for children:
Noble Smoke: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mon to Fri for any child on free lunch program. Child does not need to be present.
St. Luke Missionary Baptist: (Food Pantry third Thur 10-12)
