Hey! I am Ms. Romero and I teach 5th grade at Governor's Village STEM Academy! I am a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor's degree in International and Global Studies and a minor in National Security and Intelligence. I also hold a Master's degree Education from Johns Hopkins with a concentration on Elementary Studies. My graduate research focused on child cognitive development, effective teaching practices and classroom management. As a 2018 Teach for America Corps member, I strive to provide equitable and quality education that is accessible by all students.
I grew up in Miami, Fl and enjoy dancing salsa and reading during my free time when I am not visiting a museum. I speak Spanish and French and seek to incorporate a global perspective in my classroom by encompassing and embracing the various cultures in the classroom.
