Purpose
To give Elon Park art students time to be creative with larger projects. Students will use problem solver skills, creative thinking, and confidence building skills.
Goals
To provide a safe space for art students to experience more challenging projects.
To develop entrepreneurial skills.
UPCOMING ART CLUB PROJECTS
Younger students may need parental guidance.
Please get a plastic table cloth and a large box to store projects. Some projects will be messy.
Upcycled Soup Cans
Tools needed: Empty Soup can, white liquid glue, paint brush, and colored paper (magazines, newspaper, printed napkins, scrapbook printed paper)
Tie Dye Hearts
Tools needed: Coffee filters, water soluble markers, glue, scissors, paint brush, string or ribbon, cup of water
Tissue Paper Initials
Tools Needed: Colored Tissue Paper, scissors, Empty Cereal Box, glue
Styrofoam Printmaking
Supplies needed: Styrofoam plates, markers, and white paper
String Baskets
Supplies needed: string (any color), White Glue mixed with alittle water, container (as the form ex. empty cool whip bowl, empty yogurt bowl), plastic wrap
Nature Project
Supplies needed: anything from nature (outside). Glue, scissors, string
Sharpies on Foil
Supplies needed: sharpies many colors, foil (can be heavy duty foil but not necessary), piece of Cardboard
Plastic Bag Printmaking
Supplies needed: Plastic ziploc bag (any size), markers, optional supplies: leaves, blades of grass, string
