Videos and Screencast
What is a Screencast?
a screencast is a video recording you create of your computer screen. It often contains a voicover (allow access to your microphone) where you explain what the viewer is seeing on the screen as you go and you can select webcam access.
Some screen recorders allow you to film only the camera if you prefer to make a traditonal videl
How To Screencast?
I recommend Screencastify Chrome Extension because it is plug and play. The account has a time and video limit so if you've already made your free limit of Screencasts, no problem: Download any you wish to save to your chromebook then delete them from Screencastify to make room.
What does one look like?
Here's an example of an ELA performance task created by Francisco in Ms Mitchell's class.
He used Screencastify to record a voicover of his ebook. He chose not to use the optional thumnail video option.
Thanks to student and teacher for sharing this great work sample.
