Ask your teacher if there are any specific apps or sites to test prior to your exam in their subject.
If your chromebook fails the checkup, bring it to the media center for help.
Keep a NAME LABEL on your computer at all times.
Use your own charger and charge it nightly. If you find another charger, turn it in to the teacher.
Hold your chromebook with two hands by the base.
Place it gently on a flat surface for use.
Assume all bookbags contain a chromebook and treat them gently.
Apply only vinyl laptop stickers with school appropriate themes
Report a lost or stolen laptop immediately
Restart the Chromebook weekly. Clear cookies and cashe and delete extentions that may cause trouble
NEVER remove the name label or barcode sticker
NEVER carry a chromebook by the lid.
NEVER touch a device that isn't yours (this includes closing the lid or pressing keys as a joke)
NEVER leave your chromebook on the floor or perched where it can fall or be knocked over.
NEVER force it into an overpacked bookbag or toss or step on a backpack.
NEVER mark on the laptop. This is vandalism.
Never try to work on the chromebook yourself. CMS will do that for you.
NEVER USE TECH at a time it is forbidden. (look for the Phone Zone for personal devices)
Notify a teacher immediately. They will give you time to look for it. If you don't find it, we need to turn it off.
If you don't find it, we will turn it off. ask your teacher to complete this form or give you a pass to come to the media center to to complete the student tech help form
Most chromebooks are found quickly once you submit it. If the chromebook is not found, you will be issued a replacement.

Assume it is missing, not stolen unless you know who took it- (in that case teacher will write it up in ed handbook for investigation as theft and recover it for you) Come to the media center and report it missing asap so no one else can use it.
If your chromebook was stolen off campus, your family must complete a police report. The SRO can assist bring the number to school with you so we can issue you a replacement device. Complete the StudentTech help form include the the police report number from step 1.
We will turn off the old device and issue a permanent replacement.

If the damage is internal try restarting , clearing cashe and clearing cookies.
if the damage is external or that does not work, Notify a teacher. They will find a time to send you to the media center with your broken chromebook

Enter the media center through the small caf doors with a signed agenda.
Come downstairs to the tech help desk kiosk to fill out this http://bit.ly/ccaStudentTech REPAIR FORM (If there is a line, you may use the upstairs desktops to complete the form) and press submit.
We will attept to fix it. If the chromebook is lost stolen, or must go in for repair, you will be issued a permanent replacement. You may be asked to pay a fee first for some damage and loss
. Complete a Chromebook Condition Report to note its condition.
Get your pass signed then return to class with your replacement chromebook. Continue to follow the care rules as above to avoid financial charges.
Complete a STUDENT TECH HELP FORM for tech problems and repair needs. Bring broken tech to the media center for replacement.
