GAP ANALYSIS GUIDELINES.
ABOUT THE COMPETITION
The Centre for International Legal Studies at CMR University School of Legal Studies, aims at encouraging students of law to hone and cultivate their critical analysis and literary presentation skills.
In order to facilitate the same, the Centre for International Legal Studies proposes to conduct “GAP Analysis on International Convention vis-a-vis Indian regulation” in an attempt to inspire student participants to understand the practicalities involved in the implementation of international conventions, at the State level. This will enhance student research, writing and analysis skills and encourage an extensive understanding of the implications of conventions.
INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR THE ELIMINATION OF VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN
The International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, recognized annually on the 25th of November by the United Nations. This year's umbrella theme for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women is “Orange the World: Fund, Respond, Prevent, collect!” and it focuses on “UNESCO says NO to violence against women”. As a tradition, the Day will mark the launch of 16 days of activism that will conclude on the day designated as the International Human Rights Day.
Quiz on World Maritime Day, 2021
The World Maritime Theme for 2021, "Seafarers: at the core of shipping’s future" seeks to increase the visibility of seafarers by drawing attention to the invaluable role they play now and will continue to play in the future.
The focus on seafarers comes as the COVID-19 pandemic has placed extraordinary demands on seafarers, with hundreds of thousands of men and women stranded on ships for months beyond their original contracts, unable to be repatriated due to national travel restrictions. A similar number of seafarers are unable to join ships and earn a living. This crew change crisis, which has been ongoing for nearly a year, is a humanitarian emergency that threatens the safety of shipping.
