The mission of the Montgomery Central High School Chess Club is to promote the intellectual and strategic benefits of chess, foster a love for the game, and provide a supportive community for players of all skill levels. The purpose of the Montgomery Central High School Chess Club is to:

1. Encourage students to engage in and enjoy the game of chess.

2. Develop and enhance strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and concentration.

3. Provide opportunities for students to compete in chess tournaments and matches.

4. Offer educational resources and training to help members improve their chess skills.

5. Create a welcoming environment where students can socialize, collaborate, and learn from one another.
