Site-Based Induction Specialist

Each principal selects a Site-Based Induction Specialist to coordinate mentoring and Induction activities at the school level. Each Site-Based Induction Specialist (SBIS) can mentor up to five new hires. They work with the New Teacher Induction Coordinator and Facilitator to plan and implement site-based programs to support new hires’ professional development through mentoring and Induction Seminars.

Your Induction Specialist serves as your mentor for school-specific information and for support in the implementation of explicit instruction and classroom management.
