Classroom Setup Days
When do I set up my classroom/office?
New hires can earn a $100 stipend for working in your work area (classroom/office) one day before the school year begins. You will register for this on PLAN during Onboarding. You have two options from which to choose:
Work in your room/office one day during the week of July 22 - 26. - OR -
Work in your room/office one day during the week of July 29 - August 2*.
*Note: Rossview Elementary Only: July 29 - August 2 due to other events being held in the building prior.
New hires starting after the August 2nd date may earn a stipend for working a total of 6 hours setting up your work area. The work must be completed outside of your regular workday.
If you wish to earn a stipend, you will need to complete HUM-F102, obtain principal's signature, and submit log directly to payroll. If you have any questions about this process, please contact Tina Smith.
Teacher Warehouse
Where do I get classroom supplies?
The Clarksville-Montgomery County Education Foundation provides a teacher "store" where you may get free supplies for your classroom. View the shopper sheet to see available items. To schedule an appointment, visit the Education Foundation page, or go directly to the Online Appointment Scheduler.
Guidelines:
Each visit, teachers start out with 30 points. If you bring your own bag, you get an extra 2 points. Points do not roll over, so be sure to use all of your points!
All the items in the store have a point value, and there is a limit on the number of each item you can "purchase."
Teachers receive two shopping trips a semester. If you volunteer, you can receive 1 extra shopping trip per year.
All teachers must make an appointment. This helps to keep the store from overcrowding.
Select days to shop the Teacher Warehouse online will be emailed throughout the school year.
Online shopping is 20 points each time with no points rolling over.

Learning Centers
The Learning Centers are an excellent resource to CMCSS. They offer a wide variety of classes and opportunities to enhance family engagement. Everything at the centers are free to the community! There are several early literacy classes available for Pre-K students with wonderful teachers who have a wide range of skills. The Learning Centers also offer school-age classes at night. The teachers provide students with fun, informative STEM classes, game nights, and reading opportunities for families. They have a great library, not only stocked with excellent books, but with reading, math, science, and social studies games as well. All students and their families are welcome!
Teacher Web Pages
CMCSS provides teachers with a web page that is linked on the school Faculty & Staff Directory. Use the page to communicate with parents and students about what is going on in the classroom. Share links to frequently used site, classroom expectations, showcase student work, and much more.
