Loch Ness Monster Exploration Activity
Now that you read the story "The Mysterious Tadpole", you probably could see a lot of evidence and details that show that Alphonse is actually a Loch Ness Monster. But what is the Loch Ness Monster. Is it real or is it ficution? Hmmm......
This week you are going to be an investigative reporter. An investigative reporter is someone who picks a subject to write a story on. Then they research anywhere they can, interview experts, and try to find evidence and clues. After they do all their research, they write up and article and either put it in the newspaper, online, or read it on a video for a news station.
Your topic to research and report on this week is "In my opinion the Loch Ness Monster is______________. You decided after your research if you are going to say it is real or not real. All the research you need is on the videos below and in your packet, at the very back of this week.
After you decide, write up your opinion on the paper at the end of the Loch Ness Monster book. You must have 5 sentences with your opinion at the top, your three reasons for that opinion and a closing sentence.
You can then have someone take a video of you reading your report, use the computer to type up your report, or use a blank piece of paper to write your finished report and make it look like a newspaper.
