Create a soundscape for the story - half the class can have an instrument to represent the turtle, the other half, the coyote (suggestions: turtle - tone block/wood block - coyote - mini shakers or egg shakers). Read the story again with instruments.
Tell students, "It's midnight. Just before you went to bed your mom finished frosting a chocolate cake and placed it in the refrigerator. It looked delicious! We are going to sneak downstairs to get a piece of chocolate cake..."
