This book was written by Mrs Ellis, one of our lovely Guest Teachers and the mom of one of our Westies, Alden in KI. Watch and listen to Tunes and Tales perform their story.
Discussion: What's your favourite colour?
Everyone will perform the rhythm "clap-clap-rest" with a steady beat.
Starting with Kid of the Day and going one at a time, share your favourite colour on the rest:
Clap-clap "red", clap-clap "blue" until everyone has had a turn. Try to keep the pattern going without stopping and don't speed up!
Kid of the Day can help hand out scarves. Listen to the song for instructions/action. Wave scarves above heads during "way up high" and arc down to the ground. Listen for your colour!
In this wonderful book, written by my friend Lisa, Bear finds school TOO NOISY! He finally finds a place that makes him feel calm.
What are some of the sounds in our music room that are Perfectly Noisy?

Where the watermelon grow,
Back to my home,
I dare not go.
But if I do,
My mother will say:
Did you ever see a bear combing his hair?
Down by the bay!
