I finally realized

why the moon

still chases the sun.

It stays at a distance.

Never daring to move closer,

but never quite moving on

I watched her silently eat the green vegetables on her plate

If I closed my eyes I could pretend it was still our first date

February 14th, with my first valentine, back when our love was unlabeled

But that was long ago, now there was a wall between us; a gate

An emotional barrier that hindered what we thought was our fate

When the wheels start spinning

and your heart is racing

and your legs go numb

and the weak legs.

Music up, windows down.

Just like we used to be,

Could I move the mountains? Or touch the sun with my hands?

It's all so simple (and don´t worry), trust me,

I will move forward with leaps and bounds,

So far, it's not easy, and I'm lost in this fog,

I'm running into the unknown.

No one will believe, when you lie even once.

Deception cannot be erased,

Burned once, you will always be careful.

I want to believe that this chance is still possible.
