Transport

Travel arrangements must be made through the School Secretary or House Parent and any necessary travel documents must be left with the House Parent.

Parents must inform the House Parent if someone, other than themselves, will be collecting their child from school.

Should travel plans change please inform the House Parent of all changes or unexpected delays.

Johannesburg/Durban and Lesotho Buses

Boarders making use of Johannesburg, Durban or Lesotho buses must email/WhatsApp the House Parent and School Secretary at least two weeks before before half-term or end of term. The Johannesburg bus meets at Wanderers, the Durban bus at the Pavilion, and the Lesotho bus in Clarens. Please note that the Clarens and Johannesburg buses will only operate if there are five or more children booked on each. These buses do not run at the start and end of the year.

Flights and Airport Transfers

Transport to and from Durban and Pietermaritzburg Airports is available. All Transport and flight details must be emailed/WhatsApped to the House Parent and School Secretary at least two weeks before departure. If a child is travelling as an unaccompanied minor, please give the travel agent or airline company all possible contact details for yourself and the School, and ensure that your child has the correct documentation as required by South African Immigration Control. Non-South African boarders are required to travel with their passports and birth certificates.

Parents Away from Home

If you are going to be away from home for any reason, and particularly if you are out of the country, please inform the House Parent of your travel plans. Children get anxious about their parents being away from home and panic if they are not able to contact them.

Closed Weekends

The first weekend in the 1st term is a closed weekend, and all boarders (Grades 2 to 7) must remain in boarding. The X-Factor weekend in the 3rd term, after half-term is also a closed weekend.
