Catering
School catering is outsourced to a third-party catering company, Capitol Caterers. Dieticians have produced a balanced diet, meeting the recommended daily allowance of children, based on the age range and physical activity of children.
The menu works on a four-week cycle and may be amended from time to time, based on stock availability and seasonal supply.
The on-campus kitchen is fully equipped with gas stoves and a steam-combi oven, allowing for nutritional and wholesome food output.
Hygiene and Health and Safety audits of the kitchen, dining room, and food are carried out quarterly and strict hygiene and sanitation protocols have been implemented in all of these areas. Children are required to wash their hands before every meal. Access to the kitchen is strictly limited to kitchen staff only.
Food Committee
A small committee of parents, kitchen and boarding staff meets and monitors the quality of food produced to ensure that nutritional value is optimal and maintained.
Meals
All meals are supervised by a House Parent or M.O.D. with attention given to table manners and dining room etiquette. Please refer to our School App for the termly menu.
Special Diets
Upon admission, parents are required to complete the Capitol Caterers Food Allergy and Intolerance Form detailing their child’s dietary requirements (including vegetarianism).
Should your child require a special diet for medical reasons, please support your request with a doctor’s letter. Please supply a list of foods that your child may or may not eat. Special spreads, additives, and special foods for intolerances must be supplied by the parents.
