Phone Usage
Cellular Phones
Each boarder requires their own labelled cellular phone, charger, adaptor plug and storage bag.
Boarders are permitted to use their cellphones during the below-mentioned hours (loadshedding dependant):
Usher House: 4.30pm to 4.55pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and 9.00 to 9.45am on Sundays.
Sutcliffe House: 6.30pm to 7.00pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and 9.00 to 9.45am on Sundays.
Boarders at sports fixtures during phone times will be accommodated outside of the above-mentioned hours.
Concessions will be made for birthdays and special occasions, by prior arrangement with the House Parent.
Phone calls to House Parents are permitted strictly between the hours of 7.00am and 7.00pm.
Cellular phones may not be kept in dormitories or classrooms. Phones will be safely stored by House Parents and handed out to boarders during phone times. It is the responsibility of parents to ensure that their child has sufficient airtime or data on their phone at all times.
House Parents reserve the right to confiscate cellular phones if cellular phone use is abused. Cellular phones will be returned to children at the House Parent’s discretion.
