Mendocino Complex Fire

The Mendocino Complex Fire started on July 27 2018 off Highway 20 near Potter Valley. The cause of the fire is under investigation. This fire is made up of two fires, the Ranch fire, and the River fire. The fire has burned 459,102 acres and is 98% contained as of September 6. Four firefighters were injured and 157 residents' homes were destroyed.
