California Wildfires

Wildfires have always been a part of life in California. Even before the first human inhabitants arrived. Now the most populous state in the U.S., California's almost 40 million residents are causing wildfires at a rate far greater than would occur naturally. Population coupled with the severe drought of recent years has made wildfire an ever increasing problem facing our state.

The biology class of CLHS took on the task of pulling together resources to help understand wildfires in California, their implications, and what can be done to bring this issue under better control.
