In this video we provide an introduction to the three different base number systems you need to know about, these include: Decimal (base-10), Binary (base-2) and Hexadecimal (base-16).
In this video we explain why computers use binary to store data. The difference between a bit, nibble, byte, kilobyte, megabyte, gigabyte, terabyte and petabyte is explained. These are known as measurements of capacity, or how much data can be stored either in memory or on secondary storage devices.
