FELICE M. WILLIAMS, MPA
Ms. Williams comes with 21 years of extensive law enforcement background and experience. Prior to becoming the Law and Justice teacher at Forest Park High School, Ms. Williams held positions as a Juvenile Correctional Officer II with Metro Regional Detention Center, Juvenile Probation/Parole Specialist III with Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice, Adult Probation Officer with Georgia Department of Corrections/Georgia Department of Community Supervision. Her qualifications align with the Georgia Department of Education standards for the CTAE law and justice program. Ms. William is the sole teacher for the law and justice pathway which entails Introduction to Public Safety, Criminal Justice Essentials II, and Criminal Investigation/Forensic Science.
SkillsUSA prepares students for law enforcement careers by developing their leadership and technical skills, build teamwork, and promotes professionalism. SkillsUSA accomplishes this through competitions, community service, and leadership roles. SkillsUSA also connects students with industry standards and expectations by helping them understand "real world" law enforcement scenarios.
The Law & Public Safety Education Network (LAPSEN) supports educators and students on a national platform. It provides curriculum resources (lesson plans), training, and industry partnerships that prepare students for "real world" law enforcement careers. LAPSEN promotes key qualities, such as professionalism, ethics, and leadership that is in high demand in the law enforcement arena. LAPSEN correlates education and the law enforcement industry to ensure that students are knowledgeable in the public safety field.
The Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) is dedicated to advancing first class career and technical educational programs. ACTE provides educators with resources, training, and professional development that is essential for today's classroom and instruction. ACTE collaborates with public safety professionals to ensure that education aligns with current law enforcement practices and workforce needs.
The Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE) supports and advocates for educators by providing legal support and networking opportunities that can assist educators in and out of the classroom. PAGE shapes educators by providing guidance on how to influence and prepare future law interested students to serve with knowledge and honor.
As the Law and Justice pathway teacher, I will continue to pursue any available opportunities to grow as an educator and to stay current with updated laws and best public safety practices.
I will continue to enhance my professional experiences by attending workshops, staying updated on evolving law enforcement policies, and engaging with law enforcement professional throughout the county and state.
I will continue my educational journey by attending an instution to obtain my educational leadership certification.
I will continue to dedicate my time and efforts to providing law and justice students with accurate, high quality education that prepares them for successful law enforcement careers.
