Instructions for registering for the ACT

  1. Go to www.actstudent.org and follow the on-screen instructions to begin the registration process

  2. Use your fee waiver code (INSERT CODE) as your payment method to submit your registration.

  3. Insert your counselors information

  4. Your fee waiver criteria: enrolled in a federal free or reduced-price lunch program at school.

  5. Submit your registration

  1. Go to sat.org/register and follow the on-screen instructions to begin the registration process

  2. Your fee waiver criteria: the student enrolled in or eligible for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP)

  3. Insert your counselors information.

  4. Use your fee waiver code (INSERT CODE) as your payment method to submit your registration

  5. Submit your registration.

ACT DATES

  1. When you receive the waiver code for the SAT, the one code will be used for up to two test administrations. Once you take the SAT using the fee waiver, you will also receive 4 FREE COLLEGE APPLICATION FEE WAIVERS in your College Board account.

  2. When you receive the ACT fee waiver, you'll use it to register for the exam. You are permitted 3 ACT fee waivers.

  3. CommonApp - You can apply to hundreds of colleges using one application. When completing your profile, select Yes for the fee waiver question and make sure that (when prompted) you list your counselor's email address accurately. Then they will confirm your need for a fee waiver.

ACCUPLACER is the most powerful tool available help colleges assess student readiness for introductory credit-bearing courses and make reliable placement decisions.

It is an exam used for admissions and or placement for many technical or 2-year colleges.

To help prepare for the ACCUPLACER, there is a free Study App provided by College Board.

The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) is a timed multi-aptitude test, which is given at over 14,000 schools and Military Entrance Processing Stations (MEPS) nationwide and is developed and maintained by the Department of Defense.

Initially, you will take the ASVAB your junior and/or senior year of high school. Your ASVAB scores determine what jobs you will qualify for in the military. If you need to take it additional times to improve your score, contact your military recruiter.
