School Admissions in Clayton County Public Schools:
Families enrolling a student shall submit two proofs of residency from the school system's approved list of verifiable residency documents: one from the approved utility list and one from the approved residency list, upon initial enrollment in Clayton County Public Schools and when there is any address change.
How Do We Verify Residency?
Residency is verified through the collection of documents. Families are required to provide one document from categories one and two. The documents are listed below:
Online Enrollment (OLR) in Clayton County Public Schools:
Families enrolling a student, or students, shall all required documents from the school system's approved list to enroll in Clayton County Public Schools. Parents must complete the transfer application, in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal, when there is any address change, and enrollment in a new school is required. Please note that completion of an application does not mean the student is enrolled. Please complete all required sections of the online application before you submit. Skipping required information will delay the review and approval process. All required documents must be uploaded online. We will not accept documents in person.
Once the application is reviewed for all required documents, applicants will be notified via email of admission. Please do not send students to the school until you have received application approval.
CRITERIA & REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
(Students who were not registered in Clayton County Public Schools during the 2021-2022 school year)
Two Proofs of Residency (Examples Below)
Signed lease/signed mortgage contract
Current utility bills (gas, water, or electric bills most recent within last 30 days)
Evidence of Birth
Birth Certificate
A Military ID
A valid driver’s license
A passport
An adoption record
A religious record signed by an authorized religious official
An official school transcript
An affidavit of practicing physician
Student’s Social Security Card. Waiver available within OLR application
Withdrawal records from previous school of attendance to include the following:
Last grade placement
Final Report Card showing promotion to grade 9, for first time 9th grade students
Transcript (grades 9-12)
Discipline History (grades 7-12)
Government issued Photo ID of Parent/Guardian
Guardianship or custody papers (if not birth parent)
Georgia Immunization Form #3231 (current)
Out of state immunizations must be placed on a Georgia form
For out of state applicants, this form may be obtained by taking the current immunization record to the Clayton County Health Department or a Georgia physician.
Georgia Hearing, Vision, & Dental Form #3300 (current)
School Choice or Transfer Approval acceptance letter (if applicable)
