Consistent student attendance is a vital element of academic success. Our priority is that all students have maximum opportunities for academic growth and achievement by providing them with the education and skills necessary to be successful in school and in life.
In Georgia, children between the ages of 6 and 16 are required by law to attend school regularly (O.C.G.A. § 20-2-690.1). Once enrolled in public school, students of any age are subject to compulsory attendance. It is the responsibility of the parent or legal guardian to ensure their student attends school consistently. Failure to comply may result in legal consequences under Georgia law.
10-Day Withdrawal Policy
Per Georgia Department of Education policy, students who are absent for 10 or more consecutive school days without valid excuse and/or contact with the school may be withdrawn from enrollment.
Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential to your child’s academic success and overall well-being. Students may arrive as early as 6:45 AM, and dismissal begins promptly at 2:15 PM. Classroom instructs begins at 7:40 AM each day.
Please ensure your child is picked up on time each day. Repeated late pick-ups are not only disruptive but may also raise concerns for student safety and well-being. Continued tardiness in pick-up will result in a report to Child Protective Services (CPS) and may prompt follow-up from our mental health team.
We appreciate your partnership in supporting a safe and structured environment for all students.
In addition to absences, frequent early check-outs significantly impact learning. Students miss vital end-of-day instruction, classroom activities, and closure routines that support academic and emotional development. Every minute of the school day matters — arriving late or leaving early disrupts your child’s learning and the learning environment for others.
To support your child’s success:
Students may arrive as early as 6:45 AM. Please ensure they arrive on time.
Dismissal begins promptly at 2:15 PM. Students should not be checked out early unless absolutely necessary.
Consistent late pick-up may lead to a CPS report and follow-up from our mental health team, as it raises serious concerns for student well-being.
