Hit the Slopes with a Family Field Trip to Mountain High
Hit the Slopes with a Family Field Trip to Mountain High
The Classical Academies is partnering with Mountain High Resort to offer a family field trip opportunity. Special school group rates are valid on four consecutive Mondays (January 12th and 26th, and February 9th and 23rd) and may include equipment rentals, lessons, and lift tickets. This is a non-TCA-sponsored event, and families are responsible for their own transportation. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit Mountain High School Groups.

The SAT School Day will be offered for current 11th and 12th graders on Monday, 3/2/2026 at CAHS-Studio (207 E Pennsylvania Ave) starting at 8:00am with main sessions ending before noon. If you are interested in this opportunity, please register and pay by 1/23/2026 here: https://permission.click/6M9V0/int. We will not accept late registrations, so make sure to sign up before the deadline! Career Fair- Volunteers Needed!
Hello CAHS parents!
We are excited to announce that we are again hosting our annual CAHS Studio and PLC Career Fair on February 19th!
Our career fair is intended to expose our high school students to post-secondary career options. We would like to have representatives from various industries and professional fields, the military, various trades, and also home-based businesses. We would love for parents to volunteer this year, and this will count towards parent volunteer hours, too!

California State Law requires all graduating seniors to either fill out the FAFSA/California Dream Act or fill out the Opt Out Form (meaning you don't plan on filling out the FAFSA). The FAFSA form is the first step in getting federal financial aid and is what is used to determine Cal Grants, Pell Grants, and Subsidized/Unsubsidized student loans. Please click the link to let us know if you have, will be, or will not be filling out the FAFSA form. (As an additional note: filling out the FAFSA is also needed to in order to be eligible for the Promise Program through the community colleges)

Concurrent Enrollment
Concurrent Enrollment
If you're interested in taking a concurrent enrollment class(es) at Palomar or MiraCosta this Spring (starting in January), registration for classes opens next Monday, November 3. Use the following websites to search for available courses by term, subject, and/or type (e.g. online): Palomar, MiraCosta.
Concurrent Enrollment refers to college classes that count for both high school and college credits, giving students a head start on their college careers while at the same time meeting their graduation requirements. Please check out this document for all of the information you need for concurrent enrollment, including classes that count for CAHS graduation requirements and steps to apply and enroll in a class.

San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) has compiled a list of local organizations offering free or low-cost food assistance across San Diego County. Please contact the sites directly for more information.
211 San Diego: Go online or call 2-1-1 to connect with food pantries, meal programs, and essential services.
San Diego Food Bank: Find a nearby food distribution site.
Feeding San Diego: Explore countywide food assistance options.
San Diego County Food Pantries: Visit for a list of regional food pantry locations gathered by SDCOE.

Instructional Engagement
As a California independent study school, we are required to offer optional synchronous (live) instruction opportunities for students. This provides a chance for students to connect with a credentialed teacher in real time for academic support. There is no negative impact for the student if they do not attend.
At Classical Academy High School Studio, students are required to attend synchronous (live) instruction opportunities through our 4 day studio program Tuesday - Friday. If you would like more information about times available for extra support for your student, please reach out to their teacher directly. We also offer in person office hours after school from 3-3:10.
We are required to notify families when students do not take part. No action is required
