ALL SCHOOL UPDATE FOR 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR
Hello CAHS Families,
We are excited to share an important update about our learning platform for the 2026–2027 school year. Beginning next year, Classical Academy High School’s Studio program will transition from Schoology to Canvas as our Learning Management System (LMS). Canvas is a premier, industry-leading platform used by top universities and school systems nationwide, known for its intuitive design, powerful instructional tools, and seamless communication features. This upgrade will provide a more streamlined, engaging, and user-friendly experience for both students and families.
This shift also aligns our Studio program with our Personalized Learning (PL) campus, where Canvas has already been implemented with strong success. Because many CAHS students take courses across both campuses, moving to a single platform will simplify the student experience and make it easier for families to monitor coursework, track progress, and stay connected with teachers.
Additionally, this transition is supported through our partnership with Transcend (formerly Gradient Learning). Through this work, we will have access to a unified Canvas platform with enhanced tools for instruction, student engagement, grading, and communication—further strengthening the overall learning experience.
We understand that a change like this requires thoughtful planning and support. Our team is committed to a smooth transition and will provide clear guidance, training opportunities, and helpful resources for both students and families well in advance of the 2026–2027 school year. More detailed information, including timelines and support materials, will be shared in the coming months.
Thank you for your continued partnership as we work to strengthen and streamline the learning experience for all CAHS students. Go Caimans!

Instructional Engagement
As a California independent study school, we are required to offer optional synchronous (live) instruction opportunities for students. This provides a chance for students to connect with a credentialed teacher in real time for academic support. There is no negative impact for the student if they do not attend.
At Classical Academy High School Studio, students are required to attend synchronous (live) instruction opportunities through our 4 day studio program Tuesday - Friday. If you would like more information about times available for extra support for your student, please reach out to their teacher directly. We also offer in person office hours after school from 3-3:10.
We are required to notify families when students do not take part. No action is required
Thank you for your continued support.
We are looking for awesome people to join our team! If you know someone who would like to work for an award-winning workplace, have them apply here!
