The BIG Event

     On the night of the fair, students set up their boards, handouts, videos, and more in our multi-purpose room and wait to see how much all of their hard work paid off.  They are always surprised at how fast the night goes and how many people they get the chance to speak to about their cause.

     We are always so proud of how professionally the students conduct themselves and love hearing from the fair-goers about how impressed they were with the students' passion and preparedness.

     The first Make a Difference Fair lasted only an hour yet raised nearly $3,000 for the charities represented.  The next year we increased the time to an hour and a half, which is the length of time we currently use.  Each year the amount of money raised has increased.  Year two raised over $7,000 and year three was over $9,000.  Our goal is to give at least a little to every charity and to increase our community's awareness of the problems our young people feel are important and what can be done to help.
