Thanks to our former media specialist, Jean Hellwege, the Make a Difference Project has won some awards! Kim, Debbie, and Eric were fortunate enough to speak at the local Kiwanis Club meeting, and shared a slide show all about that went into the project. But what makes us really proud, is when our students are asked to share what they did during their project. One of our first groups of students featured Andrew, who was interviewed by Fox and Friends about his project to keep the reciting of the pledge of allegiance in schools. The 2014-15 class featured Katie, who was asked to be a keynote speaker at the American Red Cross local assembly. We are consistently amazed by the work the students put into their Make a Difference projects and love it when they get recognition from others in our community and beyond!
Katie speaks as the keynote for the American Lung Association.
Adriel was given this certificate of appreciation for his work promoting the Wounded Warrior Regiment. (Click to enlarge).
