Description: WeVideo is a website that allows the user to professionally edit videos similar to iMovie. Video clips, images, voice recordings and titles can be stitched together to create a final product that easily exports to Google Drive and Youtube. The user can also record video footage right in the website using a webcam or capture a screen recording. You will need to sign up for a Clarkston Schools account to gain full access (ask an iT).

Compatible Devices: Chrome browser and iPads (Use the WeVideo Movie & Video Editor App)

Export Options: Google Drive, Google Classroom, YouTube, Seesaw, E-mail, Book Creator (iPad only) or iMovie (iPad only)

Description: Screencastify is a Google extension that the user must add to their Chrome account. Once added it will appear as a little arrow with a video camera in the upper right corner of the Chrome web browser. Screencastify will allow the user to record a video with the computer's webcam and microphone OR do a screen recording for a possible "how to" video.

Compatible Devices: Chrome browser only

Export Options: Videos are automatically saved in Google Drive but can be exported to Youtube or shared via a web link.

Description: iMovie only works on an Apple device (iPhone, iPad or Mac) however it comes free on these devices and creates a very easy platform for making professional looking movies from a combination of videos or still images. From iMovie app students can export their project directly to their Google Drive, Youtube or Seesaw.

Compatible Devices: iPad only (Use iMovie app)

Export Options: Google Drive, Google Classroom, Youtube, Seesaw, Book Creator, E-mail or Camera Roll

Tip: Be sure to export your video before you delete the images or videos from your camera roll. Once you delete the used items from you camera roll iMovie will not allow you to export the movie.

Description: ClapMotion is free software downloaded in the Chrome Web Store that allows the user to make stop motion videos. The user sets up the scene and then claps to get the camera on your device to take a picture. Repeat this process and the software will stitch your images together to make a stop motion video.
