Description: Book Creator is a website that allows users to write and publish their own books. The user can add the following elements their pages; google images, self drawn images, voice recordings, video files from the internet or a document file as well as text boxes, text bubbles and backgrounds. Clarkston schools has a licence to open more features. Teachers may contact an instructional technologist to request access.

Description: Shadow Puppet Edu is an app that allows the user to turn a hard copy of a story or camera roll photos into a talking book. Students can add pictures to Shadow Puppet from their camera roll on the iPad and then record themselves narrating the book or explaining their images. Advanced students can add effects like sparkling stars, rainy skies or circle parts of their story to enhance the reading experience.

Description: Pixton is a website that allows the user to create a story that looks like a comic book or storyboard. The website provides numerous layouts and graphics for students to choose from.

Description: Storybird is a website that allows the user to write and publish their own original stories. Users will select precreated images to inspire their story writing. Options include picture books, longform books or poetry. After the books are completed they can be published and shared using a link or parents can order a real copy of the book that will be delivered in the mail (for a fee).
