Roller Girl

From the start of the year from now I have learned so much and have read so many books. I have a favorite it just was one of the books that really stood out to me from this year. It happens to be Roller Girl, there are so many parts of the book that are really good and so many good details it has in the book. One of the most important main characters is astrid and she has a life at a roller derbys and finding new friends because her others friends ditched her. One of my first reason why this was such a good book is it had lots of details and it made sense, also it had friend problems but they made up for it, and just having a happy ending because towards the middle of the book it had lots drama with all of her friends.

One of my reasons that Roller Girl was my favorite book out of all time this year was because it had lots of detail and dialogue. The one thing that stood out to me was how it just made sense from start to end having all of her friends talking. It really sounded like you could hear there voice on how they talk and if they are bratty or not. Another reason why this book had a lot of dialogue is because from the beginning to the end it had lots and lots of more people people and you could understand who was talking in that moment. You could also just see the moment it was in from when astrid and nicole got into the fight she was lying to her mom the whole time and it got real sad when she told her the truth.

Another reason why this was the best book I have read ll year is because they all made up from all of their fights. From having a best friend it is kinda sad to let go because you might haven’t had anymore friends. That’s what happened with astrid it all just kind of fell apart when she got jealous that nicole danced with her arch enemy. What astid did was not right because she just got jealous because her best friend was friends with the mean girl at school. But they all made up for it in the end, Astrid asked and invited nicole to come to the roller derbying thing that she got to participate in. So she came and saw the whole thing and she took all of that and said sorry for not being your friend and I don’t know why I was friends with that girl in the first place.

My last and final reason why this was the best book I have read all year is because it ended with a happy ending. All of the books usually end off with a sad ending which this one did but it got better. This book was one of those books that you just got jealous of but you always make up for it and that’s what happened. It all started when it took of with Nicole’s dance thing and how she just got so mad at Nicole because she was best friends with this other girl. The bully always tried to get the worst out of astrid she just tried her best not listening.

That’s why I think Roller Girl was the best book I have read this year. There were so many other reason why this was the best book so far this years but I could only include three of my main reason why. My first reason that Roller Girl was the best book this year was, it had so many great details and it made a lot of sense. My second reason that it was the best book I have read this year was because it just had a lot problem solving. My third reason why Roller Girl was the best book I have read in this year was because it had a happy ending and not all books have that it started off kinda good and then in the middle it was really bad and then in the end it was happy.

Over the year we we have read lots of great books, as a class, and independently. I love reading it calms me and I feel that as I read along the book I get pulled into the journey along with the characters and it takes me to a whole new pace. It makes me not want to put my book down. I have read lots of great books, but I would have to say that one of the best books I have read all year is Roller Girl. Roller Girl is really heart warming and it shows determination, belief, and something you can relate to. It makes you feel good and something that you could also feel sad for it has a great storyline and great emotion.

On reason that Roller Girl lands on the top of the list in books is because roller girl has really good things that make the book impacting and inspiring. It shows her determination, she tried her best even though she was not good at first she tried until she got it right. In the middle she started losing her best friend to an enemy of hers and that was a challenge she faced, but she strongly got through it. In the end she had lost some friends and thought it would b the end of her and all she could think about was the bad stuff. But she pushed through worked hard and even made some new friends along the way.

Secondly she always believed. She didnt care what others said, she was true to herself and was strong and confident. Astrid was the main characters name, Astrid was inspired to be better and be who she wanted. And that inspired children who read the book. Astrid did anything she could to make hersel better, and to make herself stronger. Astrid was not one to let her dreams go and not chase after them. Even through all of the hard times, and challenges she faced she still pulled through and that made the story that extra step better.

The last and final reason why Roller Girl was my favorite book to read this year was because it was just simply good, meaning it made me feel good and I could feel the emotion happening. I felt all the emotions going on through the story it was really moving and really powerful. The book was something that made you feel like you can’t put it down. The story was powerful and it was good and interesting to learn about. The thing that made it so different from other books was that she faced really challenges.

In the end most books I read this year were almost all good but rollergirl had to be the best of them all. Roller Girl had to be the best because it was heartwarming and it shows determination, belief, and emotion. It was also really funny, and pus it had a great storyline. Roller Girl is a great book and I highly recommend it for any fifth graders or anyone would enjoy reading it.

Now one of my favorite book is called roller girl. And it is about this girl named astrid who wants to join roller derby with her best friend. But her friend wants to join ballay camp and she becomes friends with the one who bullied her in first grade and now astrids friend is gone and she has to take on roller derby camp alone. And what troubles and struggles she might go thru.

My first reason that Roller girl is a good book is that at the beginning it gives you a quick two pages about what is going on and introduce the characters. And after that the main character takes you to the very beginning and it shows how astrid ends up liking roller derby. And then it gives good detail that what the characters personality´s are like and why they were not friends anymore.

Secondly when like angery parts , sad parts. Of excited parts come into the story the illustrations are really good. They really capture the moment and show the feelings and emotions. When the brighter writes about a part with a strong emotion the writing machs the illustrations . One really strong moment is when astried see her best friend nicole one day at the carnival hanging out with her enemy and so she gets sad and then she gets mad a nicole.

Now the last thing that is great about roller girl is that when something bad happened a new good thing happens. Like when nicole said that she was going to ballay came and astrid got sad, but right after that she made a new friend in roller derby camp. And also when she fell down and sprained her ankle then she saw nicole sitting in the audience and after the game they became friends again.

Now that you know why Roller girl is one of the best books ever If you see the book some were and try and read it. And I am not saying that you have to read it but if you do then it is good to try a new book every now and then so I would go to the library and see if they have roller girl, and if they do then I guarantee that you should read it right away.
