Do you like read along? Well I do. Read aloud is one of my favorite times of the day. I thought that it was good before and I did not think that it could get better. Well I was wrong. You see Mr. Phillips takes read aloud to another level. We read a book that I already read but he made it seem like a whole new book. He by the way. At the end of the year you read the Julian chapter. So be ready for that.
In Mr. Phillips classroom you get read aloud almost everyday!! He makes it so interesting. Mr. Phillips does all kinds of voices. When you are halfway done with the book then he makes you do a C.S.I or in other words a Color Symbol Image. Then at the end you are made to do another one at the end so you can really see how the story has changed.
Mr. Phillips like to keep you on the edge of your seat. Sometimes he will not read a chapter just to keep you hanging. But if you ask nicely he will sometimes read you more. One time we got him to read 11 chapters one day. Other times he will tell you that a book is over but it is really not true. He will also say that is the end of the chapter. But than we will sometimes be like “No it is not!” Sometimes it is true and sometimes it is not.
When you finish your book Mr. Philips makes you wait till the next day to find out what book it is. He does not let you listen to the first few chapters and say you do not like. He can make a book that you do not really think is interesting and make it interesting. If you thought read aloud was good before than you have not seen anything. Mr. Phillips can make any book that he reads aloud good.
With the risers read aloud is way different. Some people like to sit on the floor. But others do not. With the risers and chairs it gives people a choies. I did not like having to sit on the floor for read aloud. BUt I had to. Now I have the choice to. It makes it much more enjoyable. I know this is all the happy stuff. But know to the sad stuff. Mr. Philips makes you re visit them for “Launching” points. But just think about this. Most of it is pros. There is just one con.
