Over the school year I have read a lot of different books and they all have been pretty good. The best so far has to be All Rise For The Honorable Perry T. Cook by a long shot. This book teaches a lot about how you should love people no matter what they have done in their life. In the book Perry lives in a jail but is found out by a district attorney, He is stripped away from his family. He loved all the people in the Jail and was taken away from them. One reason it is the best is that this book teaches you to be patient. The second reason is You learn to love people no matter what they have done. The third reason is to stand up for but take action.what you believe in.

The first reason that All Rise For The Honorable Perry T. Cook is the best fifth grade book is that you learn to be patient but take action. In the book Perry is striped away from his mom in the jail. He has to be patient and wait but he also took action. He was able to get the District attorney to look at his mom’s file. That was after he had done weeks and weeks of waiting and being patient.

This book also teaches you to love no matter what people do. Perry loved the people of the jail but didn’t know what they had done to deserve jail time until a school project made him curious. He learned what they had done and was shocked. He was kind of sad he had asked. He still loved them though and he was able to find out so much information. He knew there back story and it made him love them even more. We need more of that in our world.

My final reason is you learn to stand up for what you believe in. Once Perry learned of what his mom did he knew she was innocent. He needed to get more information so he found the district attorneys file. He also took the attorneys coveted award and put it in the box that had his mom’s file. When the attorney was looking for his file Perry said he didn’t even look through his mom’s file, he lied and said he did but Perry told him that if he had looked in his mom’s file he would have found his award.

In conclusion that is how All Rise For The Honorable Perry T. Cook is the best fifth grade book. It teaches many great things. Patience, howto love, and standing up for yourself. This book is also a page turner and you don’t want it to end. That is why Perry T. Cook is the best book of fifth grade.
